Wednesday Night Results - Grand Finals: Wednesday night 16th March was the final night of water polo at Glenbrook pool.
The Juniors Grand Final was contested between Transformers and Funky Monkeys. It was a wonderful match with good shots at goals, great saves by goalies from both teams, fast breakaway swims up the pool, passing between players to move the ball quickly to the goal end were exciting and brought the spectators to the edge of the pool barracking loudly. What a great finish to the season. The result was Transformers 6 to Funky Monkeys 4. Goals were scored by Lisa Wilcox 2, Matt Wilson 2, Lachland Weber 2, Maddie Birt 2, Samantha Hale and James Fisher.
The Seniors had a hotly contested final as well with Team Two, 7 goals, having a strong middle quarters success and holding out Team One 5 goals in the last quarter. Many thanks to Bobby Lovatt and Wayne Tuckwell who refereed calmly and efficiently. Goal scorers were: Ben Morgan 4, Lorinda Gobbo 3, Jake Burton 3, Emily Gorham 2 and Emma Smith 2. |
Semi Finals |
Wednesday Night Results - Semi Finals: Blue Mountains Water Polo held their semi final matches at Glenbrook Pool on Wednesday night 9th March.
Junior results: A thrilling game began the night (started late because the President got things muddled...sorry!). Destroyers put a wonderful fight, including going into extra time, to lose 4 goals to 6 against Spunky Monkeys. Goals were scored by Claudia Borg, Ebony Frost 2, Brenton Moore with great back up from our netball girls Emma Winn, Erin Higgins and Amanda Murrin and Harry Davies, our rugby player nearly scored but good goal keeping from the opposition kept it out. Maddie Birt, 1 goal, had a great game, Brittany Birt scored 2, with Taryn Cooper, Samantha Hale and Stuart Smith also scoring 1 each.
Matt Heyhoe and Ben Morgan again did a fine job refereeing these matches and the second game of the night saw Transformers 9 defeat The Jams 1. Goals scored by Sophie Lucic-Fisher, Breanna Prisuda , Lachland Weber, Matt Wilson 3, Sam Nangle 2 and Nik Mahoney. The Transformers swimming and ball handling skills overwhelmed The Jams but improvements have been make by all players. Well done.
Senior Results: The Senior matches began with Team One 5 defeating Team Four 2 goals. Aleasha and Mikala from our Sydney Comp refereed and the goal scorers were: Brad Millevoi, Kelly Millevoi, Sam Fisher 2, Lorinda Gobbo 3.
Team Two 5 defeated Team Three 3 goals. The scorers were: Jake Burton 2, Emma Smith, Ebony Frost 2, Nathan Spriggs, and Connie Gorham 2. Thanks for all who set up and dismantle the pool again after the matches each week. We cannot live without your assistance...many thanks. |

Wednesday Night Results - Round 12:
Junior results: Transformers won on a forfeit against Destroyers. In a mixed game goals were scored by: Tahlia Tuckwell, Ebony Frost 2, Brenton Moore, Nicholas Mahoney, Taryn Cooper, Matt Wilson 2 and Sam Nangle.
A huge win to Funky Monkeys 10 against The Jams 0 brought the final match of the competition to a close.

Wednesday Night Results - Round 11:
Junior results: Unfortunately 16th Feb and 23rd Feb the Destroyers did not have enough players so they have had 2 forfeits.
The Jams won on forfeit against Destroyers. The match played on the night had goals scored by Elle Leo, Elyse Heil, Bryce Pennay, Joshua Morgan, Tahlia Tuckwell, Brenton Moore, Taryn Cooper 4.
Transformers 7 defeated Spunky Monkeys 3. Goals were scored by Jeb Burton, James Fisher 2, Breanna Prisuda 3, Matt Wilson, Lachlan Weber 2, Sam Nangle.
Senior Results:
Team One scoring 8 goals against Team Four with 3 goals. Scorers were: Hamish Burton 4, Jake Burton 2, Emily Gorham, Kristy Stanton, Ashlea Hope 2, Aleasha Vreeken.
A draw of 2 all in the match between Team Three and Team Two was hard fought. Goals to Emma Miller 2, Ben Morgan and Aleasha Vreeken. Thanks for those players were are staying and helping out. We appreciate you. |

Wednesday Night Results - Round 9:
Junior results: Transformers 10 defeated Destroyers 7. Goals were scored by Tahlia Tuckwell 2, Ebony Frost 4, Harry Cheeseman, Matt Wilson 3, Lachlan Weber 2, Sam Nangle 4, Nicholas Mahoney.
The second game of the night saw Spunky Monkeys 8 defeat The Jams 2. Goals to : Maddie Birt 3, Taryn Cooper 3, Samantha Hale, James Fisher, Ashley Fisher and Matthew Wilcox.
Senior Results: The Senior matches are always a little mixed up but Team One 5 defeated Team Three 3. The four new ladies played well and were gratefully accepted by Team Three who had a lot of players missing. Thanks Ashlea Hope, Jess Dry, Lisa Thompson and Jessica Hurst. The goal scorers were Hamish Burton 2, Jake Burton 2, back from injury, Ebony Frost, Matt Heyhoe, Josh Mackenzie (out of goals for once).
Team Four had a win against Team Two. Score finishing up 5 to 2. Goals to Courtney Finlay 3, Connie Gorham, Lisa Wilcox and Ben Morgan 2.

Wednesday Night Results - Round 8:
First night back in 2011 to Glenbrook Pool for the continuation of the Blue Mountains Water Polo competition.
Junior results: The first junior game was won by Transformers 5 defeating Spunky Monkeys 2. Goals were scored by Matt Wilson 3 making good breaks up the pool to score, Sam Nangle, Zeike Prisuda, Maddie Birt and Samantha Hale also scored a goal each.
The Destroyers had a strong game with the winning score of 8 goals to the Jamms 1. Three players scored two goals each: Emma Winn, Harry Cheeseman and Brenton Moore with more goals being scored by Tahlia Tuckwell, Ebony Frost, and Phoebe Rivory for the Jamms.
Senior games: Team Three had a success with 6 goals scored against a younger group this week from Team Two. Goals scored by: Kristy O'Neill, Emma Miller, Breanna Prisuda, Danielle Heyhoe, Matthew W. Tahlia Tuckwell and Matthew Klein scoring 2 in his first match.
Team One played well and defeated Team Four by 6 goals to 3. Hamish Burton and Emma Smith each scored 2 goals with Emily Gorham, Stuart Lane, Ray Salmon, Connie Gorham and Brad Millevoi scoring a goal each. |

Wednesday Night Results - Round 7:
Junior results: Transformers had a great night with Matt Wilson having a sensational scoring run with four goals in the first half of the match. Transformers defeated the Jams 8 goals to 3. Goals were scored by Breanna Prisuda, Lisa Wilcox, Lachlan Weber, Sam Nagle, Matt Wilson 4, Joshua Morgan 2, and Bryce Pennay.
In the second match of the night Ebony Frost had a scoring feast of 5 goals for the Destroyers and helped them win against Spunky Monkeys 7 goals to 3. Goals were scored by Samantha Hale 2, Stuart Smith, Tahlia Tuckwell 2 and Ebony Frost 5.
Senior games: Team Two scoring 11 to Team One's 3 goals. Goals were scored by: Ben Morgan 5, Lorinda Gobbo 5, Tahlia Tuckwell, Rachel Colley, and "The Boyfriend" 2. The last match of the year had Team Four 7 defeating Team Three 3 goals. The scorers for the match were Kelly Millevoi, Emma Miller, Breanna Prisuda, Sam Walton, Nathan Spriggs 3, Stuart Lane and Courtney Finlay.
Thank you always to our referees Vicky Gorham, Ben Morgan, Matt Heyhoe, Ray Salmon and with some others who often help eg. Courtney Finlay, Jake Cooper, Hamish Burton and Connie Gorham. Refereeing is a thankless task but matches cannot continue without referees and more are needed each week for the success of the competition. The game makes so much more sense when you have been on the other side of the whistle! The Flippaball group who train in the shallow end of the pool each week are being nurtured successfully by Wayne Tuckwell and there seems to be a lot of fun and laughter each week down that end of the pool.

Wednesday Night Results - Round 6:
Junior results: The first junior game was Destroyers 8 defeating Transformers 3. Goals to Tahlia Tuckwell 2, Claudia Borg 3 who took a great position up near the goals, Ebony Frost 3, and a busy night for Matt Wilson scoring 3 but with many fine attempts which were stopped by good goal keeping from Harry Cheeseman.
The Jams 2 lost to the good teamwork of the Spunky Monkeys 7. Goals scored by Taryn Cooper 3, Jeb Burton 2 who also had a great half in goals, and Stuart Smith 2.
Seniors games began with Team Two 10 defeating Team Four 2. Ben Morgan 4, Sam Fisher 2, Vicky Gorham, Lorinda Gobbo 3, Sam Walton and Courtney Finlay.
Team One 10 had a win over Team Three 3 goals. The scorers were Hamish Burton 3, Jake Burton 3, Rachel Colley, Ebony Frost, Brad Millevoi, Kelly Millevoi, and Danielle Heyhoe.

Team Two 10 lead by Ben Morgan defeated Team Three 4. Goals were scored by Brad Millevoi 2, Danielle Heyhoe, Ben Morgan 5, Jake Cooper 3, Kieran Maurer and Lorinda Gobbo.

Wednesday Night Results - Round 4:
Wednesday night 24th November was a beautiful evening...our warmest and calmest night of the season so far. Thank you for all the offers of help and the better response to requests for setting up in all areas. This is a busy time for school events and teams were slightly depleted but those who came played hard and well but with less rest.
Junior results:
Spunky Monkeys and Destroyers had a draw 6 all. This was a very well fought out match with much excitement right up to the final bell. Goals scored by Taryn Cooper 2, Samantha Hale, Stuart Smith 2, James Fisher, Tahlia Tuckwell, Amanda Murrin 2 and Harry Cheeseman 3.
Transformers 8 defeated The Jams 1 with goals scored by Matthew Wilcox, Lisa Wilcox, Courtney Finch, Josh Watkins 2, Matt Wilson, and Lachlan Weber 3.
Senior games began with Team Three 6 defeated Team Four 2. Goals scored by Brad Millevoi 3, Danielle Heyhoe 2, Matt Heyhoe, and helping out the seniors after a big day at Primary school water polo representative duties Josh Watkins scored 2 goals.
Team Two 7 defeated Team One 3. Goals scored by Emily Gorham 2, Rachel Colley, Kieran Maurer 2, Lorinda Gobbo 4, Louise Moodie 2.
